Ezra Bejar Art Gallery

Scientist and artist from Mexico City, based in San Diego, California. Béjar was professionally educated in both the arts and sciences. For over eleven years, his artistic narrative has been guided by his own transformation—perception, intuition, and vision—a trilogy that paints an alternative reality by distilling color and shapes through both traditional and modern (post-digital) methods.

He is currently working on two NFT art series: Cryptolobes and Cerebrones, rare and highly collectible characters inspired by his own brain cancer diagnosis in July 2021.

Béjar’s art is provocative, energetic, and innovative. His paintings are rich in color, geometries, textures, and aesthetics. His work has reached global audiences, with exhibitions and collectors in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Mexico.

Recognized as a binational artist by the Mexican Government’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (IME), Béjar has participated in more than thirty solo and group exhibitions in the U.S. and internationally since 2010.

After retiring from UC San Diego, Veronica Bejar found new purpose in carrying forward the legacy of her late husband, Dr. Ezra Bejar, by becoming the director of his art gallery. What began as a way to stay close to his spirit has grown into a heartfelt journey of love, memory, and creativity. Through the gallery, she not only honors his vision but also keeps alive the story they built together, inviting others to share in the beauty and inspiration that defined his life’s work.
